The two behind the build

Zain Alam

Co-founder · Machine Learning

Zain builds the brains of the operation.

A senior at USC majoring in Mathematics and Business, he designs the machine-learning models that let the receptionist listen, understand, and respond like a real person who actually knows your business. The math gives those models their rigor, and the business side keeps them pointed at what actually matters to an owner's bottom line.

He and Zach go back years, having built supervised learning models together long before Southern Automation. That early work, training systems on real-world data to make smarter predictions, is exactly what the product runs on today.

Zach Lam

Zach builds the machine itself.

An Industrial Engineering major at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, minoring in Computer Science and Finance, he wires the AI into your phones, your calendar, and your forms so everything just works. That engineering mindset means he sweats reliability and process, so business owners never have to think about the technical side.

It is the same partnership behind those early supervised learning models he and Zain built together, now turned into a product Southern businesses can actually depend on.
